The Center for Democracy in the Americas (CDA)(501c3) is a non-partisan institution dedicated to promoting U.S. policies of engagement with the countries of the Americas. Our current focus areas are Cuba and regional migration.
CDA engages in strategic advocacy and communications with thought leaders, members of Congress, and policymakers. Since our founding in 2006, CDA has also led over 150 educational delegations to countries in the Americas for federal and state policymakers, private businesses leaders, and other stakeholders. These trips enable attendees to directly examine the effects of U.S. foreign policy on Cuba.
Additionally, we publish a widely distributed and respected U.S.-Cuba News Brief that is read every week by senior decision makers, journalists, academics, and activists across the region. Lastly, we have earned a positive reputation in the region for conducting forward-looking research and connecting U.S. officials in the Executive Branch and Congress to the unfiltered opinions of those least represented and most deeply affected by U.S. foreign policy.
